The 2019 Il Ghizzano is a terrific introduction to this range. Dark, potent and a bit somber, the 2019 packs plenty of punch. Black cherry, incense, gravel, tobacco and chocolate are all dialed up. This exuberant, powerful red offers plenty of immediacy and substance.

Tenuta di Ghizzano
Die Tenuta die Ghizzano erzeugt ausschließlich biologisch und biodynamisch und bewirtschaftet heute etwa 280 Hektar, von denen 18 dem Weinbau, 15 dem Olivenanbau, 100 dem Getreide und die restlichen 150 dem Wald und den Pappelhainen gewidmet sind. Ghizzano ist ein kleines Bergdorf, dass im Terre di Pisa liegt – unweit der toskanischen Küste, 40 km von Livorno und 40 km südlich von Pisa.
