Der sechs Jahre gereifte Bordeaux präsentiert sich luftig, offen und zugleich tiefgründig und erinnert dabei an Schwarzkirsche, Cassis und Pflaume mit Grafit, Lakritz, Kakao, Kräuter und einem Hauch Minze. Am Gaumen zeigt sich ‚Le Plateau‘ saftig und kraftvoll, aber keineswegs schwer. Eine lebendige Säure und fein gepuderte Tannine verleihen der konzentrierten Frucht Kontur und Frische. Ein nuancenreicher, energiegeladener Margaux mit mineralischem Biss, würziger Tiefe und langem Finale.

The 2020 La Plateau, from vines on the Soussans plateau, is a powerful, explosive wine endowed with tremendous energy and depth. Dark cherry, plum, graphite, leather, licorice, espresso and gravel all saturate the palate. Deep and vibrant to the core, the 2020 positively pulses with energy from the very first taste.

Perfumed on the nose, aromatic and open - beguiling. Juicy and plush with a nice balance of vibrant, well-integrated tannins, fruit forwardness, fresh acidity and overall weight. Nicely structured with width and density - feels a touch serious at this point with liquorice, dark black fruits and minty touches - all with bite and tang. Lean but nuanced and detailed. The most compelling and complete of the terroir range.

Vinifikation
Dieser Wein stammt von tiefgründigen, sandigen Kiesböden bei Soussans im Norden von Margaux und ist eine von drei 2019 eingeführten Terroir-Cuvées von Durfort-Vivens. 2020 besteht ‚Le Plateau‘ aus 52 % Cabernet Sauvignon und 48 % Merlot. Zwei Drittel reiften in Tonamphoren, ein Drittel in Barriques, davon lediglich 10 % neu. Das Weingut arbeitet biologisch und biodynamisch zertifiziert.
