Bordeaux-Trio de luxe

Seitdem Gonzague Lurton, Spross der berühmten Bordelaiser Familie von Weingutsbesitzern, das Château Dufort-Vivens im Jahr 1992 übernommen hat, wird das Weingut wieder seinem Ruf als 2ème Cru Classé de Margaux gerecht. Eine der jüngsten Neuerungen ist der Parzellenwein ‚Les Plantes‘, dessen erster Jahrgang 2019 auf den Markt kam – ein echter Must-try!

Blackberries, cherries, sesame and salted-chocolate notes. Peach stones, too. It’s medium-bodied with silky, creamy tannins. So juicy and pure. 88% cabernet sauvignon, 10% merlot and 2% cabernet franc. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification.

Lovely dark-fruited intensity is immediate on the nose, flanked by hints of graphite and wet pebble. The palate is wonderfully fresh and vivid, showing off red ans well as dark fruit against a lovely and very finely-knit structure of fine, gentle, elegant tannins. There is someting juicy and animating about this. Lovely.

The 2019 Les Plantes is the new, young-vines wine from Durfort-Vivens. It offers notable depth to match its creamy, succulent personality. Drink this over the next few years, while the dark red fruit remains vibrant. There's so much character here.
