In the same ballpark as the 2018, the 2017 Cairanne Excellence (60/40 Grenache and Syrah raised all in concrete) has a concentrated, medium to full-bodied profile that carries plenty of dark fruits, spice, chocolate, and meatiness as well as a plump, rounded, opulent texture. Drink it on release and over the following 6-7 years.

The 2017 Cairanne l'Excellence is a 60-40 blend of Grenache and Syrah, matured in tank. It's a spice-driven wine, with notes reminiscent of clove, cola and allspice, plus loamy earth accents. Full-bodied and velvety on the palate, it lacks overt fruit yet remains appealing for its savory nature and rich texture, adding hints of espresso on the finish.
