Der ‚Ruppertsberger Village Riesling‘ beeindruckt durch seine Lebendigkeit und Eleganz. In der Nase finden sich belebende Noten von Apfel und Pfirsich, begleitet von floralen Noten und feiner Würze. Am Gaumen entfaltet er seine saftige Frucht, deutlich Grapefruitaroma und einer gewissen Salzigkeit, die Säure ist harmonisch eingebunden. Die großartige Leichtigkeit ist bis in den Abgang spürbar.

Das Traditionsweingut aus dem Pfälzischen Wachenheim ist mit 5 Trauben von Gault&Millau sowie 5 Sternen von Vinum ausgezeichnet. Der Ruppertsberg weist viel Bundsandstein im Boden auf, was zum außergewöhnlichen Aroma dieses Weißweins beiträgt.

Very attractive open nose with a wide spectrum of ripe stone fruits plus a whiff of flint adding excitement. Stunning fruit with a mineral elegance to match it on the mouth-filling yet fresh finish. Complex savory and salty finish. Nearly all this cuvee comes from the Gaisbohl GG site. Mostly wild-fermented in large neutral oak. From biodynamically grown grapes. Vegan. Screw cap.

From the Gaisböhl (80%) and Nussbien (20%), so from deeper, more clayish soils, and predominantly vinified in large oak casks, the golden-yellow colored 2022 Ruppertsberg Village opens with a deep and spicy/mineral, maybe still a bit more reductive, in any case darker-toned bouquet compared to the Wachenheimer. Very elegant and refined on the palate, this is a medium to full-bodied, lush and intense Riesling trocken with lively, crystalline Buntsandstein acidity and a saline finish. This wine has a remarkably elegant and refined mouthfeel and long-lingering salinity. It's impressive, but it needs a while to open up. 12.5% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted at the domaine in November 2023.

The 2022 Riesling Ruppertsberg Village was mainly picked in the Gaisböhl parcels that did not make it into the GG and Nussbien. Lemon peel and flint combine into an enticing, appetizing nose. Some cooling lemon balm hovers. The palate is textured with dense, ripe, juicy apple fruit, edged with lemon pith and gentler yeast. This is lip-smacking and bone-dry, really bright, bracing even. Well done.
